How to Learn Magic Tricks

Are you interested in how to learn magic tricks the right way? If you want to perform magic tricks that really get attention from people, then you need to start with the four basic fundamentals that most professional magicians need to know to be successful. What are they?

Is magic science? The art of magic is different than the sciences. Science is based on observational facts while magic is surrounded by mystery. As a magician, once you know the secret - i.e., how to deceive your audience - you are like the hero in a movie. You know all, yet your audience is mystified. You would be surprised at how easy it is to fool educated adult audiences. In fact, it's easier to trick adults than kids because adults are biased by their experiences and pre-conceived ideas about how things should work. Kids often see right through it.

What kinds of tricks are there? There are many kinds of magic tricks. Some require extensive setup and props while others need no skill and very little practice to master. And, of course, there are many in between which need some level of skill and some kind of prop. Magic tricks can be done with playing cards, coins, bills, rings, handkerchiefs, balls, eggs, and many other everyday objects. Some tricks just require you to use your brain (e.g., mentalism).

What do I need to know to do a magic trick? You need to know two things: cause and effect. The effect is what the audience sees - what you want them to see. The cause is what you did to make it happen. The audience, if you did it right, doesn't see the cause. You need to master both!

Does magic require a lot of practice? Of course, the old saying "practice makes perfect" applies. Practice, above all else, is how to learn magic tricks. Some tricks don't require that much practice to get started. You can master more complicated magic tricks, how to do sleight of hand for example, by practicing for a few minutes a day for a month. But, you can get started with magic in just 10-15 minutes.

Knowing these four fundamentals to magic tricks is a great start to understanding the world of magic.

Magic is an art; it can be performed in many ways; a trick has cause and effect; and, although it requires at least some practice, you can start performing very quickly. Chris Angel Street Magic Secrets Revealed

Magic secrets were usually not available for larger public reading and viewing until recently. But in a bid to make magic more popular and accessible, several magicians have begun to showcase a bit of their tricks from the vast repertoire they possess.

It was sometime ago when Chris Angel floated and then landed on a cement ledge much to the astonishment of spectators. It was shown on television and he was off the ground by about two feet on that occasion. In another video he showed some if his friends how he managed to levitate. You need to stand a foot away as he did, in front of a metal box or a stair case with your back to the people watching you.

With magnetized shoes on, Chris Angel brought his feet close together and positioned himself at the center of the audience. It is exactly when he began to misdirect the audience with arm movements to draw their attention away from his feet. He misdirected with his right hand and with the left hand opened a pant panel to bring the right leg out.

It was a trick as the right shoe was attached to the pant and the shoe was in a hanging position when the leg came out. It involved skill and a great amount of practice to remove the right leg from the pant slit. Chris again distracted the attention of the audience by gesticulating and keeping them engaged with arm movements and conversation.

The idea of engagement or the way all magicians master mentalism is best expressed the way they can simply divert attention of the audience. What Chris Angel was doing while showing his levitation skills was an art and skill at making the audience assume what he wanted them to assume. With speech and hand movements, Chris Angel was able to distract the spectators as the most critical part of the trick was taking the leg out and placing it on the box.

Online, where street magic Chris Angel secrets has been revealed along with master mentalism, is a great source for budding magicians.

If you would like to learn how to do the exact same mentalism and magic tricks you see on television by Criss Angel, Derren Brown & David Blaine, be sure to visit http://www.mastermentalism.net

How to Do Magic Card Tricks - Cut the Kings

Many people would like to learn about how to do magic card tricks, and they thought that they could do better if they have a special magic card deck, or a deck that specially designed for playing magic tricks which can be found in the magic store.

But that's not true. The answer of the question 'how to do magic card tricks' is not only using any special deck. Just a normal deck of playing card can be used to perform great magic card tricks. Besides, after performing your tricks, the deck of card can be handed to your audiences to take a look if they wanted.

Below is an easy way on how to do magic card tricks. Just read the method and don't forget to practice before showing to your friends or family members. This trick is called - Cut the Kings.

Before the beginning of the trick, secretly stack the deck. Place the four Aces on top of the deck with four Kings directly on top of them. Then, hand the deck to the spectator. (Kings are the topmost cards.)

You say to your spectator: "You look like a card dealer. Take the pack and deal down two piles, alternating the cards." Allow him or her to deal out about half the deck.

You then say: "Now, you may stop at any time you wish." After that, take the rest of the cards from your spectator and direct again: "Now, pick up one of those piles and deal that pile into two piles. Do the same with the last packet so that we will have four piles of cards."

At this point, you have a King on top of every pile, with an Ace directly beneath it.

You say: "Please turn up the top card of any pile. That's a King. Turn over another one. Isn't that a coincidence - two Kings?" Allow the spectator to turn the last two and he or she has found four Kings. Discard the Kings face up on the table.

"Are you a poker player? What beats four Kings? Four Aces? Right!" Make a magical pass over the cards and turn all the top cards face up to reveal the Aces.

Amazing Magic Card Tricks

  • Magic card tricks are some of the most common among many magicians. These tricks are as much fun to watch as they are to perform. There is nothing more fun than challenging the senses, emotions, and reasonable possibilities in one's mind. These are the beginner magic tricks that every magician starts out with. They are some of the simplest tricks to learn and test your magic skills. You might think that magicians use specially marked decks of cards or some other type of rigged deck. This is not always the case. Actually, there are very few magicians today that use these decks for their tricks.

Keeping the audience captivated and distracted as well as using well-practiced sleight of hand techniques are what makes these magic card tricks send a sense of awe into the audience. These are some of the steps that people learning beginner magic tricks will have to learn and keep working at until they have mastered them. There are several things that you can do when learning these tricks that will only enhance your ability

The first of these learning steps is practice. As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect. Always remember to never practice in front of an audience. The practice will teach you every part of the trick systematically to perfection. Once you have mastered each step of the trick, then you can practice in front of an audience and amaze them with your sleight of hand movements.

A second step to take in mastering your tricks would be to pace yourself. We want to pace ourselves, so that we can get a feel for the cards and the card movement. The cards need to move fluently through our hands and fingers. Practice in front of a mirror moving as slow and fast as we possibly can until we have mastered the movement of the cards with flawless ease. This will be the one step that will make the illusion of your trick perfect.

Practicing in front of a live audience is the ultimate test for performing beginner magic tricks. You want everything to be perfect. An audience can be quite unnerving, so we have to mentally prepare ourselves to have control of the situation. Mastering the magic card tricks as well as the wording for your tricks can be the two things that will make your magic card trick to be amazing and fascinate the audience.

When learning new magic card tricks, remember the three P's, practice, pace and perform. These steps will make your trick the most effective and make you a good magician.
